I picked up a 1000 round batch of 100gr. 8mm bullets. they are .330 bullets.
I loaded up 10 of them in the 8x56R brass with 10,5 gr's of unique. 10 with 14 gr.s of unique and 10 with 26 gr.s of 3031.
all worked pretty good. with the weather like it was, very dark, low over cast. and light rain,(50 Degrees)
I shot all targets at 25 yrds. (I couldn't see the fifty yard targets) But the bullets feed ok, they did need a little TLC But not much. And they pretty much shot to point of aim. some just a little high. But these guns shoot very high anyway.(I'm got a M-95 rifle that shoots 15 to 18" high at fifty yards, with factory ammo,,,1938/39)
I'm going to load some more and I might go to 16gr's of unique. But, what I"m afaid of is pushing the bullet too hard and it coming apart. (they will, you know) I did this in a 30-06 with 110 plinkers, The bullets were leaving the barrel in little bitty pieces.(ok, did I say that 51 gr.s of 4895 was a bit much with this bulllet???)
There was a lot of blow back, you really need to wear shooting glasses with these loads.
I'll be trying other loads in the near future.
