Headstamp markings are as follows:

12 o'clock: 11
6 o'clock: 51
3 & 9 o'clock: stars

Try posting in the surplus ammo or the Mauser forums. I know one of these guys can ID your ammo. There are a ton of very savvy gents on that site.

I have some in the original milsurp box, stamped "Made in Yugoslavia". Mine is 12/52. The numbers are the month and year of manufacture.

I think the '11' is actually the Yugo factory code number.
