I picked up a marlin 1895 in 45-70 the other day and well its different than the pics in the gun guide I use. They have gold triggers and a flat butt on the stock. This one is crescent shaped and is really nice wood. The guy I got it from said it was worth more because of it but youknow how that goes. It also has a lyman #67 sight on it. I paid $385 for it, probably gonna get rid of it after seeing the price of ammo J/K. Here she is, any info you can give would be greatly appreciated!

Is that a Williams receiver-mounted sight on that rifle?
You have a good deal there if the receiver sight works. They cost ~$150 + installation, and they improve accuracy significantly.
Nice gun!
:D

I like your rifle better than the guide guns. It's more "traditional" looking, like a gun should be. If you want to sell it pls. pm me.

I took the sights off it and put them on my 336 44 mag since they are time period correct. I returned the 45-70 to iron sights, and decided to sell it. I will put it in the for sale ads later on tonight or tomorrow.
