I have a chance to trade for a excellent condition Remington 11-87 Premier Light Contour with 28" barrel, Walnut stock, engraved and three rem chokes, looks like it is in good shape

I have searched this on Gunbroker, THR, Firing Line, Shotgun world and I am finding prices all over the place from $350 to $650. What is this thing worth?

Not sure how much help this is but I recently saw a new 11-87 Premier (not sure about any LC designation) at Gander Mountain for $599. Keeping in mind their prices run a bit high I would think a used one should be considerably less than that.

Best guess, $400.

I would estimate about $400 on a straight out cash purchase. On a "trade" it depends on what the dealer is allowing you for your gun. In most cases, it's best to sell your gun outright and then buy the other gun outright. On a trade, the best you will get for yours is wholesale, and often times not even that much.
