Fw: Anti-Gun Nut Logic from Les Lemke

If a man plows into 10 people with a car and kills them it's the man's fault - not the car's fault nor the public's easy access to cars.

On the other hand...

If a man shoots 10 people dead with a firearm it's the gun's fault - and the public's easy access to guns.

So much for the logic from the anti-gun nuts.

I hope you all have noticed there has not been any public outcry for banning cars since that 85 year old man plowed into that crowd of flea market shoppers in California. However, had that same man killed 10 people with a gun the anti-gunners would have gone nuts with more emotional cries for more gun control laws.

Larry Elder aways asked about the bias in the news:

How come when someone is stabbed, it is referred to as "a man with a knife" who did the stabbing; but if someone is shot, they say "gunman". Meaning, putting the blame of gun before the man..

Then, why not "knifeman"?

9/11 happened when the hijackers using knives; had it been guns, all guns would be banned now. :barf:

Well, to be fair, the talking heads have been airing stories about renewing driver`s licenses to older people. Underneath all that, it`s pretty well understood that the AARP will have none of it. More and more of the Baby Boomers are now approaching senility.

However, the AARP and whatever other orgs. encourage us to buy those humongous motorhomes that could wipe out a small town if driven like that Buick. They are not blasted in the media as having the prez and congress in their pockets like some :cuss: rabid gun assn.s. :banghead:

I've read on the CNN website that he may have been fleeing the site of an accident he was involved in moments earlier with a Mercedes when he turned up the market street and began running over people.

There have also been allegations of similar misadventures within the past decade. Where are the front page reports of this?

I guarantee if he's had a Browning instead of a Buick there would be all manner of sideline speculation and innuendo.

I have to requalify with my Texas CHL every 4 years. As much as I abhor having to get a license from the state to exercise my right, I think it's only fair that citizens should pass a basic competency test every 4 years to exercise a privilege.

I've seen several unattended cars in parking lots burst into flame (my dad's '79 Lincoln was an excellent example). Never seen an untouched firearm chamber and fire a round.

y'see what I'm getting at?

Regards,
Rabbit.

I think Buick should hold joint responsibility for this. It makes just as much sense as holding the Bushmaster Company liable for the DC snipers.
