How hard is it to change the ROA from fixed sights to adjustable?

Depends on the model. Damned hard to change the rear sight on the newer 5-1/2" version.

SST or blued? I have an old ROA and am not a machinist or a gunsmith but milling a rear sight base in the back of your frame, buying the rear sight parts and changing the height of your front sight would cost you about the same as buying an adjustable sighted ROA, wouldn't it? Of course, then you'd have two ROAs. With all the complications THAT would involve. I've thought about changing the BBL on mine to a 5.5" just to bring the balance back into my hand a little bit.

I learned something!
I didn't know that the ROA was available with fixed sights.

I'd like to bring this back up again. Anyone else have info? How expensive would it be to have a barrel shortened? Seems like the 5.5" barrel models aren't available with adjustable sights.
