Can anyone supply me with deer blind plans. I had this great drawing I did at one time and I lost it all. It took me too long to just redo it. Can anyone give me a link to a site that I can get some free plans? I don't want to pay 9.95 for a download. I need something like 4x8 or 6x6 or something of that size no 4x4 or 4x5.
Thanks

I’ve made two blinds without plans it’s really quite easy. My first is an 8x8’ portable, which I towed with my tractor. It was too big to move around so I placed it in a good area removed the axle and placed the wheels on a approx. 5.5x5.5’ elevated stand that sets me about 8’ off the ground. Basically you make your blind the size you want. I insulate it with 2” foam sides, floor and roof. Slant the roof slightly and I like to use metal roofing. Before you cover the sides sit in your blind and measure where your eyes will be looking out of your blind without having to strain up or down. Then I make my viewing area about 6” wide. This 6” area is covered with Plexiglas, which I screw to the studs around the entire 4 sides. This way I have a 360 basically unobstructed view. Then I get my rifle and aim from a seated position and measure the area I need to make shooting windows which will be 2 to each side just below the Plexiglas view windows. I keep the shooting windows closed till I see a deer I want and then just swing down the shooting window. After you have these areas addressed you can put your siding on the 4 sides cut to accommodate the windows. These shooting windows are painted black so that when open or closed they look the same from a deer’s observation. I also paint the entire interior of my blinds black. The shooting windows are hinged to swing down. I also put carpet on the floor to deaden any sound. The outside wood is painted to match the surrounding area I hunt. There you go a basic deer blind.
