Ever swore off a gun only to come back to it later? One of my frist semi's ive ever shot was a 1911 as it has been with so many people. After a few times I swore them off. I didnt want one...i wanted something cool. Then again that was when I was much younger(lol only like 10 years ago) and i thought the coolest thing out was a 92f. I said Id never own one and wouldnt care to shoot one again. Well Ive now come around and am seriously looking at picking one up. Ive shot a coworkers a few times and it was so so. But when I picked one up at the gun show that was fully custom and worked on....Oh it so melted in my hands. Im really thinking that I may have been wrong on that decsion of droping them. Of course Id also like a full milsurp type authentic 1911a1 to go in the collection....but i think id also like to have one for a carry weapon.
Now if i could just get this anti revolver thing i have ;). Id actualy would buy one sometime maybe....

Yep.
Glocks in general: Sold my G19. Wasn't impressed. But the more I got to shoot them the more I agreed Glock is a good thing.
Snub nose .38's: I shot them like :banghead: Then one day the planets aligned, the heavens parted, or I was starting to do something right. So I had to get one again.
DA/SA guns: The superb SIG P226 made me change my mind about the crunch 'n tickers.
Eventually I'll get back on the 1911 saddle again. They keep calling my name and they always manage to pull me back in. :p

Not pistols, but I had my doubts over Smith & Wesson revolvers. I grew up shooting Colt's and loved them. I shot various J's, and K's owned by friends over the years but wasn't really impressed. Then a few years ago I got the chance to shoot a few N-frames. Now those I like and have a bought a few lately. I do have one K-frame, but it was chosen by my wife for her to use. They can keep all the J's, K's, and L's as far as I'm concern, but I do admire the N-frames.

I swore off model 1911s years ago, only to meet a couple Kimber owners who'd likewise had it up to here with Colts. I remain less than enamored of the .45 A.C.P. cartridge, but my Kimber is what Colt should have made.

I had a really bad experience w/ my SIG 220 :( Since then, I've tried to find one I liked. Recently tho, the 220ST has really caught my eye & maybe, just maybe, will be the one I give SIG another try over :)

I'm kinda back on the Glock train. I carried a 23 for years. It was my only handgun and I liked it fine, but I was never really INTO it, y'know?
When I finally started making money I picked up a coupla 1911s, a hipower and a P7. Mmmmm, those're some good guns. However, my P7's started to rust from my sweat when the heat hit us, so I set it aside and am gonna get it refinished.
In the meantime I'm carrying my 19 (sold the 23, I don't have any .40s anymore) and I'm definitely feeling the pull of the darkside. The thing won't fail, it's accurate, the trigger's OK (sorta, I've been spoiled) and it holds beaucoup rounds. It's a bit fatter than my P7, but no so much that I can't hide it easily.
I'm actually kinda depressed by the whole turn of events, 'cause for some reason, I just don't WANT to like Glocks...

growing up with a 1911, ruger single 6, mk2 and taurus PT92 made me not a fan of plastic for a while. Not so much the function, but growing up with wood grips and polished stainless and/or deep bluing....Then i got togeather with my buddy and shot his glock 19. shot an HK USP as well. I'm hooked. I've definately grown into the "tactical" look. I kinda find the guns pretty in their ugliness.
