Walmart has 15 packs for slugs and 100 packs for birdshot...do they have any value packs for buckshot?

Here in North Central Arakansas the WM has 20 round boxes of Winchester 00 buck for 9.95.

I often run into 15rd packs of Win-X 00 for 5.97 there. I use it for practice only, made a discovery that it patterns horribly for me when compared to plated shot from a full cup. Waiting for deer season when they put slugs back out...

If you have a Dick's Sporting Goods in your area they run High Brass Remington 00 Buck (9pellet) on sale around hunting season for $1.87 a box.

Only problem is they try and limit you to 10 boxes at a time :banghead:

It's really annoying walking back and forth to the Jeep 5 or 6 times to drop off ammo.

the k mart around here sucks. Birdshot at great prices, slug prices are ok, but they don't carry magnum slugs, buckshot prices are okay but they ONLY carry magnum. ***!!!

A suggestion...

Besides the chain stores, call the local shops and ask if they've buck by the case. Oft old stock they haven't been able to move can be bought for a competitive price.

Dick's, the aptly named chain store here, has an OK selection, though prices are hit or miss. No more KO Brenekkes for $1.97 a 5 pack though.

Also check CTD, Midway,etc...

Do any Walmarts near you stock buckshot? I'm down in Calvert County and one of the slightly-knowledgable sporting goods employees (as compared to the total dufus that's there on occasion) at my local Walmart went bug-eyed and basically accused me of being a poacher when I asked if she had any buckshot. She then started going into something along the lines of "You cant hunt with it, what do you need it for?" Her eyes got about this big -> :what: when I said "Uh, ever heard of home defense?" (I wasnt being sarcastic or anything, just deadpan'ed it).

I get mine by the case from Jerrys Sporting Goods. They have all the brands, Winchester, Remington, Federal -heck even PMC is making reduced recoil buck these days!

I haven't bought anything gun related from Wally Martinez' food store and sprorting goods in a long time, but it ain't for lack of trying.
