It is not the cheapest nor the most expensive I could find, but it shore is purty and fits my needs just fine. An EMF Hartford model 12 ga. with real CCH. The tang safety (ick) is small enough to be dismissed and if it turns out to be auto engaging, that will be corrected forthwith!

Pretty gun! Wonder, can ya cock the hammers, engage the safety, and it works like a hammerless? Sure would speed things up if you hunted with it when a bird flies in. Pretty neat.

Yessir... that is the idea of the safety... to carry cocked and locked. Must make a 1911 guy smile. :D

Really cool, speed and convenience of a hammerless for hunting and the looks of a hammer gun. That fore stock wood looks really nice. Comes with screw in chokes or is it fixed???

Very nice. I'm a fan as well of the case hardened look.

Now that's a pretty gun.:)
I have the EMF without the safety, but it isn't a Hartford. I had the very thought of how far away will a bird get before I get these hammers cocked? :D

So how does it shoot?

The EMF Hartford model is the same gun as the TTN 1878 copy but with a case harden finish. They are very well made. They are also made in China. The hammers are close in for fast dual hammer cocking. They are highly regarded by SASS Cowboy Action competitors. Very nice looking coach gun, love the caseharden receiver.

How does it shoot?

How the heck would I know

You have time to actually go shooting? ;)
I've been working 12-14hrs a day for about 10 days. I got this day (Sunday) off and ir revolves around catching up on Emails, watching the home team and spending the remainding hours doing Honey-do's. She could give a rats patootie that my feet feel like I have nails stuck in the bones... She's got shoppin' to do!

That really is beautiful! Did you ever get a chance to shoot her?

Next weekend.... working 13 hour days for a couple of weeks and Sunday I come down with the Flu. I begged my honey to kill me, but she wouldn do it. To messy. I think she just likes to see me suffer.
