I just bought 4 new in the wrapper G19 15 rd. magazines. But I can only get 14 rounds in the mag. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Did I get some reject mags or what?

most new glock mag springs are a b---- to load that last round in, especially the .45 caliber ones. put 14 in and let em sit a while to develop a bit of a "set" then load it to 15.

Gunner's right on this one.

Glock mags are very, very stiff when new. Try loading all of the rounds in if possible, if not work your way up. After a while they do loosen up though.

Or, you could just load 14 in them. (down-load by one round)

Unlike most guns, Glock hi-caps are prone to over-compress the spring when fully loaded.
Down-loaded one round, the springs will last forever.
Fully loaded, not so long.

For a while that last round will require cursing, muttering, and thumb calluses!

I always down-load a pistol mag by one.

That way, if you have to unload the gun, you have somewhere (the magazine) to put the round from the chamber.

Thumbsmasher,
They will get easier to load with time ! Did you get the "cheater" loader with your Glock ? They help a bunch with those last few. triguy

The Glock mag loader I got with a 23 folded in half and I tore half my thumbnail off on the mag feed lip.

It went in the trash as soon as I stopped bleeding & cussing!

That's odd. I've loaded nearly 26,000-rounds of ammo into Glock magazines, and never had a problem. I've even ordered back up loaders, in case one goes missing.

They're incredibly simple gizmos. They're not loaders really... They assist in loading.

The "fin" pushes the round in the magazine down, clearing enough room to fit the next round beneath the magazine's metal feed lips. You do the feeding.

I had to show Judy and my kid how to do this, as they were making way too much of it. They both laughed when they realized how simple it is! Duh! :D

It works perfectly. ;)

Even with some "mileage" on my mags, I find the 14th and 15th rounds somewhat difficult to load with fingers alone. Try the HKS magazine speedloader - it has worked well for me and only costs a ten-spot. The model you want is the GL940.
