If you use the same brass from the same rifle you can get away with just neck sizing. You'll probably need to FL size after about 3 firings, just depends on if the brass is getting tight in your chamber.

Yep , when the bolt starts to get a little tight locking up you will have to bump the shoulder back with a full length resize.

Suggest you get a Redding Body Die for when the time comes where you have to bump the shoulder back.

Hmmm, I reload .204 ruger with an RCBS neck sizing die, it's the only caliber I reload where I use a neck sizer. I have never needed to full length resize a case for this rifle. I end up tossing brass due to thin walls at the case mouth, and once in a while from a loose primer pocket, but it'll still chamber just fine. Something particular to the caliber, perhaps?

I don`t think so. I`ve loaded 223, 30-06, 7-08, 6.5x55 and a few more useing Lee collet neck sizers or Redding neck dies and have never had a lick of trouble with chambering. Some of the brass has went 10-12 loadings. I don`t find I need to trim or maybe trim sonce during the life of the case either, as long as I don`t use other dies. I do though toss my brass at 12 loadings max, problems or not, just for my own piece of mind.

I've been using a Lee Collet die for my .223 Savage bolt gun with Win and LC brass, and am consistently getting sub-MOA groups at 100 & 200 yds. People say you should FL resize every 3rd firing or so, but in my gun this has not yet been necessary.

You'd need to do some research but I think the new Hornady match grade neck sizing dies allow you to bump the shoulder slightly if needed as well. (at least that's what sticks in my brain this morning. If I was home I'd go check the instructions)

Dave
