Places to shoot in Camden/south central Arkansas?

I am considering relocating with my company to Camden, Arkansas, so I can be closer to family. From the map it appears to be smack dab in the middle of nowhere, which makes sense for a facility that makes missiles.
I won't always be able to get up to the farm to shoot on family land so I was hoping someone might know of a range within an hour of Camden?
Any information is appreciated. Much thanks.

El Dorado has at least one (30 miles): http://www.nrahq.org/shootingrange/findlocal.asp?State=AR

I would start meeting people ASAP when you get there. There's plenty of farmland and rural areas. I'm sure you could meet landowners who'd let you shoot.

polishrifleman, haha better get them now! I'm trying to liquidate the last of what I don't shoot so I don't have to move it.

Try the Benton Gun Club in Benton Arkansas. There is also a shooting range in Mayflower that is run by the Arkansas game and fish. I know that it is a long ways for you to drive, but if you are ever in the area , give it a shot.

I'm 35 miles from Camden and have visited most ranges in the area. The Highland Industrial Park area where many defense contractors locate is an interesting area, though I wouldn't meander into the woods to do any informal shooting *ahem*! Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy is also located at Highland Ind Park, though their range is closed to the public.
The Benton Gun Club (http://www.bentongunclub.org/) is ideal for med/long range rifle, up to 600yds IIRC, though it's about an hour and 45 minutes away. El Dorado, Camden, and Magnolia have local 100 yard ranges that are publicly owned/non-staffed and are free. Many of the local LE hold training events at random times, so you may get a good chance to shoot with them.
Also, in Little Rock there is Don's Weaponry who holds a Class III and indoor range in the basement (25yds, I think).
There are many local gunshops in the area with Camden having one, El Dorado (30 miles) having two, and Magnolia (35 miles) having three. Those three towns are marketed as the Golden Triangle, though El Dorado has been the most successful in recent years. There are at least two pawn/gun shops in each of the towns, as well. In fact, the two shops in El Dorado are set up that way.
Texarkana (1hr 30 mins) has 3-4 with a Gander Mtn.
Little Rock (1hr 45 mins) has Gander Mtn, Academy, Ft Thompson, in addition to many smaller shops.
Shreveport/Bossier City, LA (2 hours) has Bass Pro, Academy, and a handful of smaller shops.
Shoot me an email or IM if you have any other questions about the area.
There's plenty of farmland and rural areas. I'm sure you could meet landowners who'd let you shoot.
+1 There are many folks like that around here!

Thanks for the info, guys, especially about the Highland Industrial Park area (since I'm a DC in this case). I feel a little better now about the potential move, just have to see what they pay.

Also, if you haven't seen it yet Highland has a website (http://www.highlandindustrialpark.com/) with a bit of info about the immediate area.

I know this thread is old as dirt itself, but how many of you guys are in the Camden area? I need some shooting partners. I also work in the Highland area and have use of a few ranges to shoot on.
