Wierd Yaqui slide problem

I bought a Galco Yaqui slide, with the screw adjustments, and it won't cover the trigger guard. The trigger guard bumps into the rubber posts that hold the screws. I even took the screws off and it looks like if the leather were just 1/4 inch longer, it'd be perfect. The reason I bought the Yaqui was in the catalogue it shoes a full size 1911 clearly seated into the slide, with the trigger guard covered.

Anybody else have this problem? Does the leather need to stretch more?

Unless your gun has a square shaped, or oversize trigger-guard of some kind, it sounds to me like they sent you the wrong one.

Is it marked with a model number or anything?

I did get the Yaqui belt slide, and it's supposed to fit a Kimber 4" 1911.
I think I'm calling Galco Monday.
