i have a keltec 380 2nd generation that wont feed anything..it has only about 3 mags thru it that fed completely fine, but i tried some hollow points the other day and it hasnt worked since..i went to the ktog website and read up on their ideas ...switched ammo, switched mags, polished the ramp a little with 1000 rit sandpaper...cleaned and oiled well and it still wont feed...it hangs up...you can force it to feed with little exertion but it is leaving marks on the bottom side of the brass....any other ideas i am missing or hints....thanks

My guess.. Possibly a week recoil spring.

send it home to Florida. Kel-tec will make it right.

Have you recently disassembled it and forgot one of the recoil springs...there are 2. Do you have adequate lubrication on the slide?

I use hollow points and solids. Never an issue. These are the type of stories I heard of the P3AT and so bought the hard chromed model. They are alleged to function best.

yep it has both springs installed and as for weak it would of came from the factory that way..it is only a month old....and i hate to return it..shipping guns here is such a pain, and i cant take it to the dealer i bought it from because i told them to shove their business for trying to rip me off on a trade in...not sounding promising

Call the company and have them issue a recall tag for UPS. I told the dealer where I bought my that I wanted to shoot it before I bought it. Pretty uncommon.

The bottom side of the brass really doesn't touch anything except the next round in the magazine. The only thing it touches that could possibly leave a mark is the very end of the feed ramp / back end of the chamber as it breaks over and goes in, and yours apparently never gets that far.

Are you having this problem only when loading the first round?
If so, make sure you are not riding the slide forward when you pull it back and let it go. Just yank it back and let go and slingshot it when you load it.

One other thing is be sure you have grease on the barrel cam slot / pin, and also the foreword edge of the chamber area & ejection port where it locks up with the slide. I also recommend grease on the slide rails, at least until you get through a couple hundred break-in rounds.

What kind of ammo have you tried?
Lots of them don't like the FP-FMJ WWB from Wally-World.

fluff and buff done? May need to clean up the burrs on the slide/frame and polish the feed ramp.

If this is strictly a failure of the slide to shove the next round up the feed ramp, I would polish the feed ramp to a mirror shine. Then re-polish the rails of the slide with some fine sandpaper to eliminate as much drag as possible (sandpaper around an old credit card works for me). Also inspect the magazine to make sure the rounds can be pushed out by thumb without excessive drag. Also check the assembly pin because if it isnít locked into the far side the frame the slide & barrel wonít properly align. As a last resort, call 1-800-515-9983 Service Dept. but that can be a 6 to 8 week wait.
