I like the Marlin 1894 design (esthetics only) over the 1895.....
I would also like to build a 500 Linebaugh on the 1894 platform, but see the largest caliber is 45 Colt.
The 500 Linebaugh uses 348 brass for the case, a much larger diameter base.
Is this technically feasible?

Too big to work through the 1894 action. And bolt thrust would also probably be excessive in the little 1894 with that large a case head.
It has been done in the 1895 action, but not the 1894.
Plus, .348 Win. cases are getting quite scarce again, so the .500 Linebaugh has kind of lost favor.
Wild West Guns did come out with a .500 S&W lever-gun, but it is built on a custom made Stainless steel action with a massive reinforcement hump at the locking area of the receiver.
It looks sorta like a Winchester big-bore 94 on steroids!
