Pocket Holster Draw Tips

I have a Desantis Nemesis for my J-Frame and sometimes the holster comes out with the revolver. Does anyone have any tips (turn wrist or something) that will maximize the grip of the holster to keep it in your pocket?

Spray the inside of the holster with silicone spray so the gun comes out easier.
Then kind of flick it off the gun with a finger or two as you draw.

Consider getting a FIST K5 pocket holster. It's got a little thumb tab that you use to push the gun out of the holster as you draw. I use one with my Kahr P9 and it works great.

Get Mika's holster...it stays in the pocket and weapon has just about the quickest presentation on any holster I own.

There are pocket holsters designed with a "hook' on the bottom so that it hooks & holds onto the pocket edge during pistol draws. You may need to consider getting one of these. Don Hume makes a good one.
If you want to keep using your DeSantis, pushing against the holster with either your trigger or middle finger during the draw may aid clean separation of gun from holster.

I like the Mika as it requires no special manipulation to remove the gun (in this case a Kahr PM9) from it.

I usually "wipe" the holster off the gun by pressing inwards against my thigh when I draw from either a Nemesis or the Uncle Mike's pocket holster - that way, the sticky-rubber friction material gets to do its job and keep the holster in the pocket.

Nemesis is generally a fine pocket holster, I think. I use the same set up and have never had the holster pull out. Is it fairly new? As mine broke in, the gun slid out easier and easier, while the sticky side stayed sticky. When I pull mine out at the end of the day, it always turns my whole pocket inside out.
I would say keep working with it before you run out an buy another holster...

I'd second what FranklyTodd said, the Desantis holsters do require some break-in time. Mine took a couple weeks and it has worked fine for the last two years.
Be careful in the with the types of pants you wear. If you are wearing slacks or cargos with the larger style front pocket that run diagonally across the hip, retention can be an issue. The gun can simply fall out of the holster and out of the pocket onto the ground. With jeans this isn't an issue although the draw becomes a bit more complex, unless you have tiny hands.

The holster is fairly new but I think if I push the holster back into my leg and then draw the holster will stay in place. I usually wear cargo pants so I think that is most of the problem.
