To me, the USP feels clunky. The P220, on the other hand, feels like a glove.

Full size USP feels much bulkier in the hand to me then a P220, of course we are talking double vs. single stack.

Same goes for a USP compact vs. a P229.

Give me the SIGs any day over the HK.

I have the USP45F SS, USP45C, USP40C, USP357SIGC, & the SIG P220. All are excellent pistols. They all fit my hand and all have been 100% reliable so far! I would be hard put to choose a best out of these. :)

Before I purchased my USP I also looked at the SIG. I have pretty large hands so the grip size of the USP was actually a positive for me.

I don't regret the decision at all. The USP is one of the most rocks solid and reliable pistols you can own. I would chose the HK over the SIG 100 times out of 100.

SIG P220, hands down~! ;)

...

Having both, P220 with 825 rounds down-range without any failures, just 100%, along with a Sig P229 9mm with 2700 rounds without any failures, just 100%, I'd say without a doubt, go with either Sig..

Also: one of, if not, the easiest guns to disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble out there, bar none.. KEY IMHO.

if you have big hands the usp is for you.

And if you have big hands, the 220 isn't for you. Trigger LOP is short.

Both are great guns. Fondle them them and decide for yourself.

I find the P220 far more comfortable than the USP.

I like the integrated decocker/safety on my USPc, and will soon get a full size USP9. The decocker on the p220 seems to get in the way.

The P220 grip is too narrow for my gorilla hands.

Check out the HK P2000 if you dislike the USPc due to its ergonomics.

I have big hands, so the USP is a better fit for LOP and such, but it is still shaped like a 2x4 and not all that comfortable. I am now thinking CZ.

I owned a 220 for several years and 1,000s of rounds. Great Gun! But after I purchased my USP Tactical 45, the 220 migrated to the back of the safe. For me, the feel was a little better, the match trigger a lot better and ergonomics of the controls on the Tactical suited me better. I still have my 226, which I've had four about 17 years now and over 20,000 rounds.

I have all pistols listed(HK USP45T, Sig P229 40/357, Sig P220 38Super). I love them all. I think I'm more attached to my P229(easier to carry, with good round count). All are extremely great shooters!

I've shot both, I prefer the USP over the P220. I have large hands and the P220 just felt very awkward in my hands. The USP feels lighter as well.
