Thought I'd repost this here. The forum that I posted it on originally doesn't appear to have a large number of posters.
Went out to my parents ranch on Wednesday for Thanksgiving. They are practicing herd management and trying to eliminate some of the smaller bucks. Thursday morning shot an older six-pointer at 100 yards. First kill with my Mauser .270. He went about 25 yards and dropped. Next morning my wife shot her first deer while hunting with my mom. A trash six-pointer that at a distance looked like a spike. She shot this one at 110 yards and it fell within 15 yards of being shot. That evening my dad shot a large axis buck, and the following morning my mom shot a white fallow spike. All in all it was an awesome weekend. I'm pretty sure we didn't shoot that many deer last season, much less in 3 days.
