Hello out there.

The only forum on THR familiar to me is the "Rifles". I have limited gun experience, and it consists of isolated shooting over the decades (until now) :) the very old Savage .22 single-shot, bolt-action and my recent purchase of an M-1 Carbine :D.

Somebody on that Rifles forum recently posted a comparison of violent crimes (per capita?) in the UK versus in the US. The UK, having begun its personal firearms ban long ago in the 1920s or so, reportedly had a higher rate of violent crime. This was a complete surprise to me, and where they found it could prove to be an interesting source of enlightening info, in my opinion.

An English guy who lives somewhere in this area (who has a totally unique, very specialized job/"locale" gun permit) told me that you have to register a pellet gun in the UK!

Anyway, if such a higher rate is true and is because of the lack of personal firearms among most private citizens over there, where can we find a copy of this graphic comparison and print a copy? Maybe an accessible Interpol or FBI source?

If this is true, there is no doubt that a huge number of US citizens (and elsewhere) will dispute either the info., the source, the context or the accuracy of such data-maybe all of the above in an election year... This might be highly confidential.

By the way, an aircraft mechanic who worked at a NY upstate FBO (general aviation services) after Hillary won the Senatorial race told me something interesting.
Another mechanic there is a former Marine who, along with others had Marine or Army bumper stickers on their cars.
The Marine caught one of Hillary's staffers trying to scrape off his bumper sticker! When grabbed and asked why, he said that Sen. Clinton does not like military bumper stickers...
She also had thrown food around the small cabin of a chartered jet. The flight attendant on board was so upset that she told the mechanic that she would quit her job because of what the Senator had done on board. Strange?

Thanks very much for any graphic crime comparison between the US and UK.

Try these:

It's a bit dated now; US is somewhat better, UK worse.
