Just starting on a new caliber (.300 wsm) to reload. Do any of you know of a powder charge for this cal. using IMR4350?

61.8 to 62.2 grains of IMR4350 under 165 grain Nosler Accubonds provided 0.6" groups at 100 yards in my Ruger M77/MKII stainless laminated hunting rifle with the stock heavy trigger off the bench. I just polished and smoothed the trigger, I suspect I could do a touch better now since the pull weight is roughly half what it was.

Moving toward the upper end of the load, 66 grain max IIRC, opened up considerably. I got to 65 or so, saw groups open up and have not been back to that loading yet.

Please check your manual, I'm running off of memory here. Always confirm with a manual

Hey elmo, First welcome.
Second, lots of load data available for the 300WSM and many other cartridges if you know were to look. Never take load data via the Internet forums without double checking it. Having a set of good quality manuals is a must if you are going to enjoy the wonderful world of handloading.
What manuals do you have on hand? I am sure one or more of them will have 300WSM data you can use. If not you can go to all of the powder manufactures web sites for free load data.
