Here's an unusual finish on a Dan Wesson.
I don't see very many Dan Wessons with a nickel finish.
As a mtter of fact I never see any for sale.
Here's a pic. I do have the rest of the nickel barrels & grips to go with the pistol pak.

That's a pretty nice one, Jeff. Is that factory nickel?

To the best of my knowledge, Yes.
It came with the case (suitcase/luggage) :D
2 extra barrels (both nickel) and a couple different grips.
The person I bought if from was the daughter of the father.
The father had passed away. I told I wasn't interested, but would at least take a look. I was very surprized to see a Nickel wheel in the box when it was opened.

That is one strange gun; not saying it isn't factory nickel, but I sure can't find anything in print that had Dan Wesson offering anything but Matte Blue, Brite (their spelling), Blue, or Stainless. I did come across one photo in a Guns and Ammo Annual from 1987 that has what looks like a nickel Model 15-2 in the catalog section, in the back of the book. Other than that, I don't think I've even seen one in all my travels over the years. Like I said, one strange gun.

Does Dan Wesson have an Archive dept ?
I guess that would be the only way to know for sure.

14th Gun Traders Guide/1990

Model 14 Service DA - blued or nickel, made '71-'75

It's the only one I see listed. I have no personal experience with DW. John
