I just got my 1862 Colt Police back from Taylor's and it seems to be just fine. I was able to talk directly to their gunsmith,Tom by name, and he said it was a timing problem but also said that the Uberti's have an inherent problem in that if you try to cock the gun too fast it will have a tendency to go out of time. Once I got him talking it was hard to get off the line (it was on my dime). According to Tom he has worked a lot with the CAS guys and has not been able to completely beat the problem.
My last thought is that Taylor's is a good company to work with.
