Can anyone give me the quick 411 on Sig 1911s. The good, the bad and the ugly.
Thanks!

Search is your friend. We discuss the GSR's at least once a week. :D

I have posted about mine (a Revolution Carry purchased Feb. of this year) several times. It has good points, but it has malfunctioned or broken (to the point of Sigarms replacing the first one) too many times to give it a thumbs-up. The current one (which has also broken once) does seem OK now. I will give credit to Sigarms for promptly repairing or replacing it and paying for the shipping, but I would rather not have had to do that.

I own a first gen GSR that runs like a champ. They have been hit or miss. Lots of problems lots of happy customers.
I would try to personally inspect it before buying if you can. I know you have been looking at Buds so that might not be possible. Mine is super accurate. A real tack driver.

I put this up before I went to the gun store today. I ended up buying a Kimber Custom II. My first 1911 and I am pretty stoked.

Good pop! The custom II is a great choice, so let's see a pic!

I have yet to get my FL CCW so I am waiting three days! :(

You should have an easier time finding a holster for the Kimber, since it has normal 1911 dimensions. The shape of the slide of the GSR makes it a poor - or no - fit in a lot of holsters.
