Does your CCW Ride High ???

I just got a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster for my J-frame.

It works good except that the gun rides "high" in my pocket.

In fact, you can see the butt of the J-frame slightly sticking out of my pocket.

By the way, this happens with my cargo pants, so the pockets are of a pretty good size.

Is this normal with the Desantis pocket holster?

David, I find that many pocket holsters have this problem. My solution is simply to lengthen the pockets... they're inside the pants, after all, so it's easy enough to cut open the bottom seam, add a couple of inches of material (doesn't even have to match the color! :D ), stitch it all up, and hey presto! - a deeper carry pocket. Very easy to do. You can also, if you wish, add some heavier material to the side of the pocket facing the outside of your trousers, so that the gun doesn't "print" so much (if this is a problem in the first place).

David,

An Uncle Mikes #3 soft pocket holster will pocket your j-frame a little deeper then the Nemesis.
