Hi Folks.

I am looking at stocking up with 209 primers. I checked out rrarms site for prices and have a question. Is the Remington kleen bore worth the money?? rrarms has the for $5.81 per hundred. I was going to get a thousand so that works out to $58.10. CCI muzzle loading 209 primers are $5.69 per hundred so a thousand would be $56.90. But CCI 209 shotshell primers are $35.60 per thouand. And Nobelsport 209 shotshell primers are $20.56 per thousand.

I know the amount of money is small but i dislike over paying even when it only twenty dollars or so. The cheap side of me says buy the Nobelsport for $20.

What do the rest of you say??

Hi There.
I now use only the Rem. ML only primers. They are different then the normal 209s. I have tested for accuracy with all parts being the same but the primer.
The 209 Rem. ML only wins hands down on my gun. They are high volume and low PSI. This is the difference. Not sure on the cost but these are worth the price for me.
One thing to note is that they won't work in some guns. The flame has to jump toooo far . For any closed breech system like my Encore they work very well. The guns that have an open cage for the primer like some of the Traditions and Remingtons they do not work.
