I have Ruger's press release on the pistol. While they indicate that the guns will be numbered in a special "NRA" series they don't state any cut-off. Therefor I presume the quanity is open ended. For more information go to: www.galleryofguns.com or www.ruger.com

Lets get the facts straight, Ruger did not suggest a ten round mag limit. He suggested a fifteen round limit, mainly for business reasons as he wanted to stop the competition from Glock. Stupid for whatever reason, but he did recant by giving the NRA big bucks.

I submit that there is not a single fact in my post that is not "straight". I did not say that Bill Ruger suggested a ten round magazine limit. Bill Ruger did assist Bill Clinton in legislating the magazine capacity of guns. The limit imposed is ten rounds. Those are both facts.

From where I sit, it is not relevant that he did it for business reasons... It doesn't impact my business, but it could impact my life or the life of somebody I love.

On second thought, maybe it is relevant that he did it for business reasons. A man that would suggest legislation that infringes upon the rights of an entire nation and could potentially cost law abiding citizens thier lives for a couple of bucks in the company bank account is not to be venerated. Then, after doing all of that to try and bribe the people he has injurred... What a man.

Putting politics aside and getting back to the original poster's question ...

The numbering starts with "NRA-00000" and the ones I have seen are in the "NRA-01XXX" range. If they don't add another digit they could go to "NRA-99999". That's not all that "limited".

But, I still am buying several to put away for my kids when they are older. Why? Not really sure since this gun costs a lot more than the standard "un-special edition" MKII and functions no better. I think it is mostly because it is a little different and, with the white grips, is kinda girly so I thought my girls would like it. :) I wish my dad was into guns and loved me as much as I love my girls. ;)

I was able to get one and plan to go to the range today and shoot it. My wife took to it, picked it up and said"nice balance". I think I just lost it. Byron

I just got back fromthe range and it was flawless woth POI POA. It was best with CCI Mini Mag. I think I am going to miss this gun after my wife shoots it. Byron
