I've just started reloading 30-06 a few months ago, I'm on my third reloading of some greek. Second reloading only a few cases needed trimming. Now on the third reloading they all are over 2.50 and need to be trimmed. I used a Lymann Universal trimmer I borrowed from a bud.....I guess I pushed too hard and about half of the cases are at 2.965 and about half are 2.90, where I wanted them.....can I use the 2.965 or are they too short, should I chuck 'em or use 'em in a bolt gun or am I being too anal?

Please recheck the numbers in your post; it makes no sense. The trim-to length for the .30-06 is 2.485". It is recommended that you trim to this length once your brass exceeds this by 0.010" (2.495"). It really doesn't matter if you trimmed some of your cases a little shorter, but for accuracy purposes, all your brass should be trimmed to the same length.

Opppps....sorry, that was a typo.....they were all over 2.5 and I had trimmed back to 2.485 and 2.465.....thanks

The cases trimmed to 2.465" won't hurt anything.
