There's 7 of 'em in the back, there. Three hours later I added my 2! :)
The next morning the last one was added to fill all 10 of our tags - five hunters, 2 per man.

Very good hunting.... And even better company! :D

I'm originally from Nebraska. We had to dodge them on the road. When I was a kid, if you couldn't kill a deer, you needed to return your expensive stuff back to Cabelas!

No fair using the truck! :D

It's pretty obvious the farmers in the area are having trouble with the deer. Double tags are standard fare in the particular area we hunted and a depredation hunt later in the year is not unusual, either. We saw a couple of big bucks, but getting a shot is pretty tough in that wide open prarie. I guess they didn't get big by being stupid... ;)

Still, a hunt that tags a deer is better than one that doesn't. Gotta love that low fat meat! :)
