When the manufacturer lists specs for .22 rimfire ammo, e.g. "muzzle velocity 1255 fps", what barrel length are they using for the test?

I don't know that there is one length ... but I'd be fairly comfortable in saying that it is likely one that will make them look good :rolleyes: ... almost certainly a rifle length ... but whether it is 18" or 20" or 22", who knows.
