I got a good deal on some old (wellow and red) speer shot capsules and I'm trying to load them up but they are being crushed before I can seat them deep enough to fit in the cylinder of my S&W 28. I'm using one fired cases and I resized and trimed them, used a moderate bell but then smush! Any hints?

I've always found when making shot shells (.357M and .44M) that a deeper bell is required. Be sure to back off the seating die so that you aren't crimping in the same operation as seating. Then back out the seating plunger a lot, reset the seating die to crimp only enough to remove the bell. Don't let the roll crimp die do any roll crimping.
