Anyone know the diffrence between a 70 series and a 90 (not 80) series Colt? I have a friend who needs a frame for a Colt Defender and Caspian needs to know if a 70 series frame will work.

The Series 80 and Series 90 Colt single action pistols are basically the same using the Series 80 firing pin safety.
If you were to use a Series 70 receiver on a Series 80 slide you would need to do something with the plunger and plunger spring.
