Blast deflector. The side blast from that brake is being deflected up and away from the front of that rifle.
Nice job of welding BTW!:D
What caliber? There's two different ones in the clips. Looks like .308 and 30-06.
The car--,, umm looks like a Chevy, maybe a Pontiac.

Great Idea,Very Considerate for Public Ranges. (If Thats what it's Meant For) I would Like to Know how it effects the sound when Fired. I Bet it sounds Cool.

Guys, Geo.AZ is a legend over at Biggerhammer. Very knowledgeable and a prolific experimenter and toolmaker.
I won't spoil the fun but can tell you that the rounds pictured are just a wee bit bigger than 30 caliber.
Glad you found THR George! Hope you stick around and impart your wisdom to the hoard.

George...Sedona is my wife's most favorite place on earth. We've got a calendar of all the Red Rock hanging in the kitchen right now.
Of course, Sedona isn't as cool as Northern Indiana, particularly this time of year.
Neat toy.

If a guy is firing a 50bmg at your range, I would guess the noise of the thing is the last of your concern.
If the range is that long, I am sure that it is pretty wide as well.

Serbu? Definitely .50 caliber BMG. Not sure what the purpose of the big rig exhaust pipes though!

It would have looked cooler with glass packs on there! Just a wee bit bigger than a .30 cal? Wouldn't be a .338 Lapua would it?

Ok, I just missed the guessing time window by that much >< !
I was going to guess a 1960 Sunliner and the Blue Man Group's .50 BMG.
Very nice job.

definately a Ford, and by the look of the grill, I'd say it's a Falcon.

Ok, we're getting off topic here, but this is important!
I'm pretty sure it's a Galaxy Sunliner, we had one of those boats (352 - 4V).
I just went searching for a picture:

All I know is, if I see the guy at the bench next to me setting THAT thing up, I'm moving a few dozen yards away!
Whether or not he's wearing a dress.

Good to see ya here George.
And its nice to see another State Arms reciever too!
I'd bet using the 20mm cannon powder like Jeff Bartlett sells would really show a pretty effect with that short barrel, and your deflector device.
Oh,,, and stacking stuff on that old convertible may cost you your place in Heaven
if you scratch it all up.

:what:The Dorf was a 1960 Galaxy Ranch Wagon(with top cut off)It was a cheepy 6-cly I bought for $300.00 I put a 289-HP with a C4 Trans.A Great Shooting Platform, Drive any were. On the Blast Deflectors they are User Friendly and Range Friendly, But when some ones Puts a little Pepper & a lot of Garlic Powder in them - Smells like a B.B.Q.
