How long is the login good for without activity?
If I'm gone from the PC for a few minutes I loose the login and have to re-log :uhoh:

You will note, however, that there is a "Remember Me" check box when you log in.

This will handle the time-out events.

If you don't want to leave the browser in "perpetually-logged-in" mode, all you have to do is click the "Log Out" menu item at top right. This will log you out and remove the "remember" cookie.

I do this at work when I don't want to risk inadvertent disclosures in my absence. While I'm actually at the keyboard, I check "remember" and when I leave the keyboard (like at night or on weekends) I do a "log out."

This avoids the annoyance of losing your session while maintaining your personal security.

The timeout period is 20 minutes. That amount was arrived at by compromise. If the period is too long, members who have left the building, so to speak, still appear to be logged in which affects several things such as the "Currently Active" listing. If the period is too short, it makes it difficult to operate as you have found. 20 minutes seems like a reasonable amount of "think time".

Seems shorter than 20 minutes but time flys when you don't know what you're doing and thats me most times.
