Well I just bought a NIB Jetfire Blued. The question is I did not think they were making Blued anymore. I called Beretta and found out it was made April 2003 so I guess they must have done a speacial run. Anyone else have one and how do they like it. I know its a .25 but its a neat little gun I also have a P32 to keep it company and some larger calibers. But I just could not pass this little guy up.. :D

IMHO the 950 is probably the best .25 in terms of quality and price. They tend to be way more accurate than one would expect. :)

Enjoy!

I've had an inox 950 for a while now & it is fantastic little gun. Congrats on your new addition ;)

My Jetfire has trouble extracting spent casings after shooting 2 or more consecutive boxes of CCI Blazer. Is this a problem? Or is it just because it's so dirty after all that shooting?

Every time I see these on sale I want one and then I think,
"But it's a .25, does that make sense?" And then I think it would be
neat to have a small, light, reliable pistol that is pocketable as
an in-your-face sort of self-defense gun. Yeah, I think it's time.

I do believe you have bought one of the most reliable of the autopistols. Seems like I heard a rumor that Beretta dropped the 950B this year but I hope not. I've had 100% reliability with them. The .22 short version (minx) that they DID drop was useful but not as totally reliable as the JetFire.

I've found the Beretta very accurate and totally reliable with all the JHP and ball loads. don't know how they would do if dirtied up considerably and I believe I cleaned mine more often than every two hundred rounds.

According to Beretta they did not drop it yet? And they are still thinking about it I hope they dont. :D

I have a beautiful little blue Jetfire I bought in 98. The blueing is gorgeous - almost an indigo with rubby hues at certain angles and lighting. I don't use her much anymore since the P32 came out. Still, the Jetfire is probably the best .25 pistol ever made. With ball, mine has always been totally reliable.

I agree . They tend to be the most reliable .25 out there . Mine is from 1957 .
Also owned a .22Short Minx for awhile . It was surprisingly accurate .

Extraction is a problem as they don't actually have an extractor . It uses gas pressure to blow the spent casing out of the chamber . Because of the light weight of Blazer alloy casings , they don't always exit the gun as well as brass . Try some different ammo in your 950 .
If you still have trouble , wrap some 0000 steel wool around a .22 cleaning brush so it's very tight entering the [chamber only] . Oil it down and attach to an electric drill . While keeping it well oiled , work the chamber area thoroughly . This will safely smooth out any roughness in the chamber . We use this process on shotguns , pistols and rifles with pretty good success in our shop .

The 950 is a single action only pistol right? Do you carry it with a round in the chamber or not?

Yep, single action only. I carry 8+1 with the hammer down. My Jetfire doesn't have a safety.

I've had this 950bs for 10 years or so. It has been 100% reliable and accurate. It's a great "church gun." Jon
