WOW all i can say.

Ok i can tell you im slow at loading. i need to get a decent ram rod. im using the one with the gun. but i need a better one. was at the range for about 5 hours today. had a blast. Right out of the box that CVA Buckhorn seems to be shooting right on target. Now i did do a lot of experimenting. i had a whole bunch of lead cast 45 cal bullets. some in 228 grain Round nose. And some very good 300 grain Wad cutters. I was not too sure of there accuracy. I bought some sabots the other day to shoot these. I also had some TC sabots forget what grain but they were jacketed with yellow tips. Then i bought a box of hornady 410 grain bullets. Powder i was using both pyrodex pellets 50/50 and tripple 777. Overall the pellets are easy to use. Using 150 grain gives a nice of a wallop. Using straight powder takes a while to prepare need more speed loaders. I like them both. Best bullet was a toss up on the hornadys and the TC sabots. Any how i am very pleased with this CVA and after the new year i am going to be looking on getting another black powder. JUST cant do it now. My wife keeps reminding me on how much i already spent.

The Buckhorn is one of the most accurate rifles out there. It can be made even more accurate by glass bedding the action and floating the barrel. 100 grains of Pyrodex RS or pellets, along with a 240 grain XTP or 250 grain SST will do a good job on deer and hogs.
