Recently (Nov.2nd-02) Police in Racine Wis. raided a Rave Party and issued approx.440 citations for an being on the premises where this so-called illegal activity was taken place. 3 people where found with drugs, the others where in violation of the afore mentioned ordinance.

The fine was a whopping 900+ dollars. Just a handful paid the fine, the rest decided to fight it in court. The DA then offered to settle the cases for around 100 dollars each. Still most refused. Now the signals are coming from the DA's office that they might be considering dropping these cases altogether. The dollars that would need to be spent to take these cases forward won't warrant the expected return.

I am not trying to convey the merits for or against the above mentioned Rave Party, but IMO this action is huge in the scope of things. This shows me that without being able to single out a person or handful of persons for certain behaviors, these McGovernink statists are not equipped to handle situations where many disagree or fight against. Will this set a precedent for future dealings with issues such as RKBA or traffic stop checkpoints or other such behavior the government deems inappropriate?

In my thought process, the government should count their blessings that the citizenry is as law abiding as it is.

If smokers would simply band together and do likewise:(

My plan would be to get about 100 smokers together in a town that has a no smoking ordinance. They all go to the local restaurant at about 8PM on Friday night and all light up at once.

They have on their persons one each lighter and one each pack of cigarettes. No ID, no wallet, no money, no nothing. They all get dropped off at the location by other co-conspirators in the action so there are no cars to confiscate or trace.

When the cops arrive, they all refuse to sign any citation issued nor do they agree to identify themselves in any manner or talk to the cops.

When the cops arrest them, they have to house and feed these people for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at a minimum. In the meantime, they have to send their fingerprints to the FBI to try to ascertain who they are. Those who have no record, military service, etc., will be impossible to identify.

The $100 to $300 fine imposed for smoking in a restaurant will not cover the increasing expenses incurred in the housing, feeding, transportation, court appearances, and identification of these individuals. For those who they are unable to identify, the housing and feeding costs rise steadily along with the court costs incurred to transport them to the court where they continue to refuse to speak to, nor identify themselves to, the authorities.

When they get out of jail, gather again and repeat as often as possible.
