Does anyone know if nipples are available for a Uberti 1860 Army that take # 11 caps instead of the # 10 nipples that came on the gun? All my other percussion guns use # 11's and it would be nice to standardize. I know the trick about pinching the larger caps but with my sausage-style fingers it's difficult to do. Thanks for any information.
Regards, Jeff

Yes, Treso nipples are sized for No. 11 caps, and they make them in many different thread specs.
I believe Ubertis take 12x28 threads, so the Treso part number is 11-50-16. Track of the Wolf calls it part no. PCC-A.
Before I spent the money I'd take one to the local hardware store and have them verify the thread size. I have two 1860 Army's, one Pietta and one Euroarms and both use a nipple with metric threads (6mmx0.75), but I'm pretty sure Uberti used the 12x28 on all but the Dragoons and the Walker.

mykeal,
Thanks for the info. The order went onto TOW this morning (had to wait for that pesky central time zone thingie). I needed to get some of those good English flints anyhow.
This group is great!! :):) It took all of about 2 minutes to get the answer to my query.
Regards, Jeff
