I know the OAL of the 45 AR is listed as 1.275". I want to load some 250 gr flat nose lead bullets with 6.0 gr of Unique.

I find if I use the crimping groove in the bullet the OAL of the cartridge is 1.225.

Will I be running into a pressure problem here due to the reduced volume in the case because of the length of the bullet and the short OAL of the cartridge?

I will be using the bullet in an new S&W N frame.

Thanks

Steve

It will not be a big enough difference to worry about as long as you are using start loads and working up like you should.
