Pelosi good for gun owners?

The latest on Nancy Pelosi (house democrat leader) is that she is requesting officials at the federal building in San Francisco accept Mexican Government IDs for proof of identity in order to enter said federal facility. These IDs are usually seen as confirming someones illegal status in the US because the person would otherwise have secured a drivers license or state ID. Just amazing, but to the meat, do you think having Rep. Pelosi will help our cause by being such as amazing left coast liberal that people will move right in disgust or will her leadership energize and inspire the left to even more assaults on our 2nd ammendment rights.

Anyone with brains and or a live of country will move away from her positions. She is a bloody communist!:fire: :cuss:
She will do everything that her little pea brain can think of to rob us of our freedoms!

She will help energize our side.
If they were smart, they would have got someone who can act more moderate to help divide us and lull us back to sleep.

The proposition that moving to the right will help "us" is erroneous in the first place.
Unless "we" like the idea of having our rights taken away and out country turned into a belligerent empire.

Pelosi is a noxious government supremacist, who deserves nothing but contempt by anyone who values freedom.

I think Pendragon is right. Totalitarian elitists like Pelosi make the Democrats look less attractive to most people.

That's what we're in danger of now, Malone. At least the former. As for the latter, more likely the left would turn it into little more than a sub-state of a global empire.
You aren't in danger of losing any Rights from the far right, nor do any of us care to create a grasping or belligerent empire. We much prefer everyone just shut up and leave everyone else the hell alone.

The trouble with creatures like Pelosi is that although they can, indeed, fill some people with such repugnance they stop voting for representatives of the Democratic (sic) party, they demean the nation by espousing anti-American "ideas" from positions of power and influence.
Richard Nixon's selfish, stupid, petty criminality made Snopes Clinton's rampaging felonies possible.

No, she's from leftist SF Bay Area. Never heard her do anything that helped us.

Having Pelosi in the House is like having a bull in a china shop; something valuable is bound to get busted.

Barabra Boxer won re-election as Senator from Ca and Hillary got elected senator in NY. That should be enough to tell you that nothing is predictable.

My favorite thing is that the hard core lefties here in SF will complain about how Feinstein and Boxer are "too conservative". And yet they'll vote them in every time... What a mess. I can only hope that Pelosi actually believes that what the democrats need to do is move further to the left. That just might demonstrate to most folks just how far out these folks actually are...
2nd Amendment

There is no such thing as abortion "Rights". Read Roe itself and look for the supporting documentation of the "Right of Privacy" the decision is based on. Quite simply, it was a politically motivated decision created by a few activists and specifically designed to circumvent a public that didn't see a problem and a legislative process that would have never created such a "Right".
And, it will fall. Abortion will go back to the states. It's just a matter of how soon.
Gay Rights? Homosexuals have all the Rights of anyone else. The problem comes when you wish to give them additional Rights. Not that the Left actually cares, but it fits well into the divide and conquer mentality of the Left.

And theres the evidence of my statement.
2nd Amendment
January 11, 2003, 04:20 PM
Really? Please provide the supporting documentation and analysis of the 1st Amendment legitimizing how the SCOTUS derived the right of Privacy presented in the majority opinion. HINT: The Justices themselves acknowledged it didn't exist. Another HINT: It's one of the least documented decisions extant, along with the ban on school prayer.
Let me take this another step: Choice ends with the decision to engage in an act with known potential repercussions. After that it's a responsibility to deal with consequences of actions. There is no longer any medically justifiable need for abortion which can't be handled via other methods and rape/incest only account for 2% or less of abortions nationally. All others are because the woman doesn't wish to deal with the consequences of her willing choice.
So, let's call it what it is: Reproductive Irresponsibility. And it will change. Even the Abortionists are conceding this. So get used to it.

While I would love to debate you on the Right to Choose, this is a firearms related Board. All I can say that in the view of the extreme right, righs are what they find to be expedient.
2nd Amendment

Convenient.
Rights are what they are. It isn't difficult to demonstrate them nor defend them. When you have to make things up from whole cloth to create one, especially when there is no groundswell of public support or desire for it, then you have a problem. Meanwhile, there is no debate. A woman has the right to choose. To choose whether to become pregnant. After that it is a responsibility for known consequences. I'll not play the game of semantics upon which your entire stance is built. Sorry.

A misogynistic statement IMHO..

Misogynistic - Of or characterized by a hatred of women.
I'd truly love to see you defend that assertion in a logical method based on the context of my argument. You know what PM is, use it. Meanwhile, thx for the perfect example of how the left "debates"...
With apologies to Tamara, but I'm truly tired of my opponent getting the last word and it's a dead thread, anyway...
