Cold Steel used to make a 5" blade El Vaquero, which they have now discontinued. Well, today, I found a new one gathering dust and it followed me home. I already have the 6" blade Vaquero Grande. This 5" bladed one is great. Rides in the pocket even better than the Vaquero Grande, which rides a LOT better than you think it would given its size. This 5" Vaquero just practically disappears into the pocket. I credit the handle shape and position and shape of the clip for this. The blade is razor sharp; actually beyond razor sharp. Lock is solid and firm. Action is smooth. Brownie pops open with ease. Blade is just awesome. This is still a BIG folder. But in your pocket, it rides better and more comfortably than a lot of smaller folders. If you ever see a 5" El Vaquero sitting on a store shelf, take it home. It's well worth having. I'm going to carry this one every day with the Civilian in the other pocket. The Vaquero Grande will be rotated in from time to time as well.
