So, what are yugos ranked in quality?

Ordering one of those this week. Can't wait!!! Yugo, Hungarian and Bulgarian seem to be fine from what I hear in Houston.

Don't forget to get you a case of 7.62 at ammoman.com for $199 delivered. Seriously, better stock up before the next regime change, and due to rising supply chain issues worldwide. Good thing it's not .223, which is getting even harder to get. Guess it helps that the AK/SKS are about the worlds most popular caliber and platform out there. If the US dollar keeps dropping and the recession of 2009 hits a year early, I'll be trading ammo for beer, chocolate, cigars, training and other necessities :D

The parts quality is high on the Yugos. Keep in mind they're not chromed, though, so if shooting corrosive ammo (or if you even think it might be corrosive), clean them well after a trip to the range.

As far as I can tell I'm in a minority on people who've had any problems with them, but Century installed the trigger/FCG somewhat improperly on mine. Not a show stopper of an issue for the amount and seriousness I shoot it with, but I think like any Century gun they bear close inspection when you get them (though my problem did not crop up until it's first trip to the range . . .).

Probably the best buy out there in a AK now. You WON'T get hurt buying one.

I dunno, I've heard a few things that make me think they're not perfect. FCG's not being installed properly, canted sights, and I'm on the fence about the lack of the chrome lined bore. If its a century build, I'd say checking the headspace is in order.

How are those aftermarket foregrips, is there any heat shielding?

I bought this one about a month ago.
A friend was buying one at a gun show.
I thought it looked pretty good, so I bought one.
I've run a couple hundred rounds through it. I'm impressed with the quality and accuracy of the rifle.
