Ok, Unbelievable story.. last night I was over this kids house I know and he had a box of old revolvers that he planned on hanging on his Christmas tree for ornaments,(yes you read right) and well I thought looking at two of em they may be worth something because one said CS, and the other read Colt. My better senses told me to see if he wanted to sell em. I have no idea if the left one is confederate because of the CS, & I think the other one might be a colt model navy(Which has a few parts missing), other than that I do not know much about either of them. I bought em $40 total for both of em. Any help or info on what you think they might be would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

Do not pass go. Do not hesitate to pay $40!
The top one is an old pinfire; I'm not sure what it is.
The bottom one looks a tad short for a Navy, but it might have been cut down long ago. Looks like a Navy otherwise, and it's a 6 shot.
I'll pay you $80 plus packaging and shipping for them, sight unseen.:)

The top revolver is a Liège-made pinfire, should be 12mm. From what I can find, the CS markings are probably fakes, which some dealers added to the guns to increase collector value during the mid 20th century. I can't find much info on value, but what little I can indicates that it's probably worth $100-$200.
The Colt i sprettty rough and missing parts, but for $20, who cares!
I'd say ya done fine. $40 comes and goes so easily it's really hard to have wasted it, and you got two neat wallhangers for it.

The Colt is a .31 caliber, 1849 Pocket Model. If you post the serial number (located on the bottom of the frame, just ahead of the trigger guard) I can tell you the year it was made. Value is at least $250.00 just for the remaining parts.

I would have to say that the top one is a FRENCH or BELGIUM LEFAUCHEUX PINFIRE REVOLVER:
Approximately 12,000 Lefaucheaux pinfire revolvers of this type were purchased, by the Union, for Civil War issue; it was the only metallic cartridge revolver acquired by either the Northern or Southern governments, for issue. It was also the first handgun of U.S. Army issue using internally primed ammunition.
Estimate: $500 - $700

I would NOT do a homebrew repair with modern parts on the Colt until you get a lot more information together. Professional restoration is likely warranted.
It's likely you want to leave the Pinfire as-is - ammo is completely unavailable.
Have you done "the checkout" on the Colt, esp. rotational play and barrel condition? Those will tell you if it can be brought back to shooting condition. It appears it might indeed be possible from the pics but "the checkout" will tell the tale. Don't worry about barrel gap as that should be on the high side for black powder plus it's basically adjustable on those things, I think? DO NOT try to take it apart until you understand these critters.
You might consider picking up a replica such as:

...and then put the real one in a glass case...

Nope, you got taken. I'm willing to help you out, as a brother, and return your forty bucks. I will even pay the shipping.
:D
Very nice to get a couple of old guns like that. I have a British revolver I picked up in Afghanistan a few years ago that was made about 1870. Not shootable, but looks really cool and has some serious history behind it. As do yours.

Nuumber 280203 was made in 1866, just after the Civil War. The 1849 model was produced from 1850 through 1873.
Parts are available from Dixie Gun Works (among others). You will find them at www.dixiegunworks.com A 700-page catalog only costs $5.00!
But remember back then they didn't have "drop-in" parts. Everything was individually fitted to a particular gun. So the parts you buy now are slightly oversized to allow for fitting.
