Otis cleaning system ?

I got an Otis cleaning system yesterday and something about it concerns me. I've done a search on the threads here and nobody addressed this issue so maybe it's not an issue--but I don't know.
You use a wire cable to pull a bronze brush through the bore. There is no swivel in or on this cable therefore the brush is going straight through the barrel and not turning or following the rifling. Isn't this bad for the barrel and /or the rifling? Seems it would be but I'm not sure--seems like a lot of folks are using this system but I'm thinking of returning mine and sticking with the rods.
Any opinions on this?
Thanks

I would imagine the brush follows the rifling just fine.
Probably the cable just twists enough to let it rotate.

Regardless, a brass or bronze bore brush would not harm a barrel, whether it turned or not. Brass & bronze are much softer then steel.

It just wouldn't clean the rifling as well if it couldn't turn and follow the grooves.

I would be much more concerned about the electrolysis taking place harming a fine barrel then I would be a bore brush turning or not.

the cable twists with the barrel. not much, just enough. the otis system is not equal to or superior to a careful cleaning with a high quality rod (there was a really good stainless steel rod company, but I forget the url, sombody contribute) like Dewey and a high quality jag like Dewey.

that said, the otis kit does quite a good job. I use it with everything. just remember - do not use the same brush for corrosive as non-corrosive.

Otis?
Oh!

I thought I was talking about an Outers Foul-Out when I posted a while ago.

You can let the Otis cable turn in your hand as you pull a brush through.
It's an excellent cleaning kit for the field, but you still need a good one-piece cleaning rod.

Thanks guys
I've got a bunch of cleaning rods but none of them are 1 piece. I know I need to get one of those--I just got a new AR and I don't want to screw nothing up. I agree that a rod would probably be more thorough than the Otis system I was just concerned about the brush not turning. I got this on sale at Sportsmans Warehouse for $30. I guess I'll head back over there and look for a good one piece rod too.
Thanks again
