Which P99?

I was thinking about a P99 for a non-hot as hell weather carry gun, and was debating between a regular SA/DA trigger or the QA trigger. I like consistent trigger pulls, so I was initially leaning towards the QA, but I'm thinking of just carrying it on SA and having the DA trigger as a backup.

Your thoughts?

My thoughts? Skip the P99 QA and get a standard (SA/DA) P99. I own four of the standard P99s.

Ok, Ken

Do tell:) If you've got 4 of the buggers, and I'm sure you've got experience with the OAs as well, tell me a wee bit more about why. Advantages, disadvantages, etc.

Thanks

I have limited experience w/ the P99's but I'm not limited in opinion :D I'd go w/ the standard DA/SA version. That little bugger's SA reset is short & quick making that pistol very easy to shoot FAST.

The lack of color options for the P99 QA immediately tells one that they are not selling as well as the standard P99. I think that the figure is like ten to one.

Also, as 10-Ring pointed out, the standard P99's SA trigger is amazing. It is light and smooth, with an incredibly short and crisp reset. I cannot fathom how the P99QA constant-pull trigger could be better.

I have the std black DA/SA P99 myself. As mentioned before, the SA is superb, & great for quick shots. The DA, I've never really liked, I just tolerate it. I've never tried the QA.
(The P99 & P22 make a great set!)

netracker- if you really want to complete your "set", you'll have to buy the CO2 airpistol too ( it is a repeater) and then you can add an airsoft

i just bought a da/sa OD p99 from a fellow member an the SA trigger reset is stunning (i thought the DA would go on forever, but then i'm comparing it to the sig 220/226 and beretta 92/96)

I have the airsoft version; use it for a training aid.
Haven't seen the CO2 version up close yet.

I vote for the DA/SA. Once you shoot a couple hundred rounds the trigger smooths out very well. I have two P99's, both DA/SA, one is black the other is QPQ. I still want an OD as well.
