I'm looking for a nice thick recoil pad, and the only one which comes to mind is Limbsaver. Is there any other pads out which might possibly work better?

Limbsaver is state of the art.
There may be something better, but I don't know what it is.

Agreed! Limbsaver is very good.

I've tried many different pads and the only ones that I use now and recommend are the HiViz Xcoil, Kick-Eez, and the Limbsaver. These three work very well.

Ok, just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything new anyone swears by. I'll go with Limbsaver.
