I have about 60 rounds of .45acp ammo with a 1911 date stamp (one is double struck). Are these worth anything? Where could I sell them? How much would they be worth?

No idea on value, sorry, but I would have to think someone would be pretty interested, as .45acp ammo dated 1911, thus having the strong connection to the 1911 pistol chambered in it, is just kinda neat, to those of us who love the 1911.I know I'd be willing to pay a premium for a few rounds, just to put in my ammo collection.Best bet for a sale is a gun board like here, TFL, or better yet, a 1911 specific forum. When someone who knows more detail on value chimes in, if iit turns out to not be terribly valuable, rather than using it all for practice ammo, or it just collecting dust, PM me and maybe we can work out a sale (or preferably some kind of trade--darn Christams put a hurting on my bank acount) for like 5 rounds, as I think its neat, and would be cool in my collection..

Take a look on http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/Browse.asp?cat=3030 they may have some collectable ammo to give you an idea on a price.
Don't use it!!!!!!
Check these guys or contact them with what you have http://www.ammo-one.com/45ACP-1911Page.html
Frankford Arsenal 1931 goes for $2.50 They're marked F A 31
The double stamp should be worth alot more, Good luck and let us know what you find out.
