Killed a nice 9 point

Killed a nice 9 point this morning in Mississippi using my Ruger M77 MkII Compact rifle in .243 Win. What a great caliber for medium size game. I live this rifle. Here's a pic of the harvest, sorry, it's not a great pic by any stretch of the imagination.

His ears are with the rest of his hide at the processor's...I didn't have my camera with me in the woods, so these are all I got...I'm doing a European skull mount on him though so he should look quite nice when its all said and done...

Nice deer.

Good thing your doing an European mount. If you had any intentions at all to have a shoulder mount, you pretty much destroyed that opportunity by hacking off the head.

Either way, enjoy the steaks and jerkey.

Seriously you should have the hide tanned and make yourself a vest, some gloves, etc.

I don't see why some guys badmouth .243's... your's got so much power ain't nuthin' left of that deer but the head.:D
