They were made by Iver Johnson I believe as their entry level product.
Do a search on Iver Johnson on Gunbroker and you should find plenty of similar examples.

I was refering to Gunbroker as a source for relative values.
As far as sighting, you align the top of the front light with the top of the rear sight, if you can.
Those small sights are next to impossible to use for us who are over 45.
Most folks point and shoot.

US Revolvers were cheaper than the Iver Johnson branded ones, and some early on may have been made for blackpowder pressures only as Iver Johnson used up leftover parts from their second model blackpowder only top breaks after switching to a stronger design for smokeless. Won't blow up using commercial ammo (which is loaded rather weak because of all the old guns chambered in it that can't take strong loads) but could loosen up some if it is in fact made for BP. Maybe not a problem though for yours.
They're not terribly accurate guns anyways at long distances and are intended more for close range defensive use than for target shooting, so try to point it in the direction of your target. Practice will make it work okay that way.
