Santas bringing me a nice new S&W 625JM that I plan to use for IPSC matches. I'm interested in holster suggestions. I'm not looking for a race holster but something a little more practical that I could use for IPDA as well. I think I'd like something in leather as well.

If you're looking for a competition holster, trust me on this one, you want Kydex.

I can recommend the Blade-Tech SRB and Dropped Offset, although the latter is not IDPA approved.

If you decide to go with leather, take a look at Kramer handgun leather (http://www.kramerleather.com/), their horsehide holsters are fantastic. I have one for all of my carry guns.

Try Sidearmor holsters, they make a very good N frame rig.

I just can't get over Kydex. I'm not looking or even expecting to be very competitive anyway

I got a comp-tac for a 625 recently, real nice. Quick delivery. If you want kydex sidearmor/bladetech/comptac are all pretty good. I have been partial to comptac because their customer service has been good enough that I have never bothered to try anyone else.

For a leather holster, try the Milt Sparks HSR.
